Giles Miller V-Gallery

For London Design Festival 2021, Lucid collaborated with studio Giles Miller Studio and cult London coffee brand Grind to create an immersive virtual gallery space.

SOLUTION

The online gallery showcases the studio's architectural and sculptural works and hosts a unique virtual coffee bar. This will become a revolving series of events and content in the space.

Visitors to the site are encouraged to travel through a virtual forest, enter the gallery and then directly interact with a number of 3D pieces. From light installations to entire moving walls. Choose to listen to the informative voice over or simply explore in silence. Although the entire space is virtual the important details of the pieces are accentuated. It was key that their scale, material quality, movement and responsiveness to light were celebrated.

The V-Gallery was extremely well received during the Festival and even went on to win GOLD at the DRIVENxDESIGN London Awards
